Looking for fun and new experiences that doesn’t involve eating out and getting boozed? Here are 5 ideas to try…..

Little Green Kitchen

Little Green Kitchen offers small group cooking classes in the home of it’s owner, Shalu Asnani. Shalu’s passion for healthy ingredients and living reflects in her menu. We choose the Detox menu that was a 3 course lunch starting with a green soup that was packed full with lots of green goodness. Our Second course was a delicious Royale Quinoa with Beetroot salad that I continue to make for many BBQs and dinners. The final course was a Soba noodle with crispy tofu which was another hit with all the participants.

There are many different menu options to choose from and Shalu can cater to any food intolerances or allergies. Check out her website below for more info and bookings

The Fragment Room

Ever since I saw one of these rooms on the TV series “The Bold Type” I’ve been dying to try, so when my friend told me there was one that just opened here in Singapore I booked right away. Located in Macpherson, the fragment room is a place to go and get all your frustration out on a range of glassware and old electronics. Dressed up in protective gear, we all went into a room that feels like a back alley armed with our weapon of choice. There is a Bluetooth speaker that you can play your favorite playlist while getting your “smash” on.

It took us a bit to “warm up” with the crate of bottles, but by the end of the session we were tossing up bottles and smashing direct hits of glass into the walls! I definitely suggest dressing for comfort and make sure to wear closed toed shoes (though they do supply boots if you do choose to wear them).

Hi-Roller

Located in Pasis Ris, Hi-Roller was not only a good workout, but a trip down memory lane. I haven’t strapped on roller skates since my teens and though it took us awhile to warm up, it all came back. By the end of the hour I was attempting tricks I use to do as a kid and really getting into it. We decided to make it a 80s theme night and they played 80s music for us which we danced (as much as you can on roller skates) away! We went during the week so we pretty much had the rink to ourselves.

The Fashion Pulpit

The Fashion Pulpit is Singapore’s first and largest swapping platform. Located in Oue Downtown Gallery, this is a great way to update your wardrobe without breaking the bank. This second hand boutique has a variety of sizes for every women and accessories. Their stock gets swapped out every Tuesday so you can grab a friend and check out what they have on offer every week. It works on a membership basis. I did a one time drop off for $35 and earned 150 points. I’ve been going in at least once a month and “spending” my points. It’s my guilt free shopping :)

Beach Clean-Up

This one you can do with friends or family! Grab a cup of coffee or tea and head down to your nearest beach for a clean up. Not only will you be getting your Vitamin D for the day, but you will be helping keep Singapore shorelines clean. When our garbage washes up on coastlines, it gives us an opportunity to remove it before the tide washes it back out. Removing litter that we find on the beach guarantees that marine wildlife won’t come into contact with it and perhaps find itself imperiled in some way or another. Let’s do our part to ensure a better future for our planet.
